Fundão Cherry Circuit

11:06 – Arrival at Castelo Branco:

• Reception by a guide from the Municipality of Fundão on arrival at Castelo Branco train station;
• Welcome coffee: consisting of coffee, tea, water and traditional cakes, in the station bar;
• Departure by bus with a guide towards Soalheira to visit the Quinta do Pomar Traditional Cheese Factory with cheese tasting;
• Onward journey by bus along the EN or A23 motorway, with panoramic views of the Gardunha and Cova da Beira mountains. 

13:30 - Arrival in Fundão for lunch at the Dom Vicente restaurant:

• Menu: starters (bread, butter, olives), soup (cream of vegetable ), roast loin with punched potatoes and sautéed vegetables, dessert (cherries/fruit or sweet), drinks (water, orange juice, regional wine (white and red) and coffee. 

15:00 - Visit the Cherry Orchard at Quinta do Pombal (after travelling by bus), in Aldeia Nova do Cabo:

• Tasting and gift of 1kg of cherries and the possibility of buying more cherries;
• Return by bus to Fundão with free time until boarding.

• Wednesdays 29 May, 5, 12, 19 and 26 June.

Train journey:

• Outward journey: Lisbon Santa Apolónia at 08:15 (IC 541) -> Castelo Branco at 11:03;
• Return: Fundão at 19:07 (IC 544) -> Lisbon Santa Apolónia at 22:25.
