The CP TrainUP! Trainee Program is already underway
Sharing knowledge and team spirit
It was with great enthusiasm that, on 1st October, we welcomed the 40 trainees joining the first edition of the CP TrainUP 2025/2026 programme—an initiative that reinforces our commitment to talent development and the preparation of future leaders.
The People and Organisational Culture Directorate, with the active participation of all CP's directorates, prepared, organised, and implemented the defined programme. Its main objective was to ensure a positive reception for the selected young people, making the start of each person’s placement both integrating and motivating.
The reception, which began in the morning with a session attended by the Board of Directors, continued throughout the day with various sessions. These included a presentation of the Company, featuring contributions from all directorates, and activities that fostered a connection between each mentor and trainee.
These 40 trainees will be placed in diverse CP directorates, encompassing both operational and support areas, where they will undertake a one-year placement, appropriately supported by specially designated mentors.
With this commitment from CP, we are convinced that innovative ideas will emerge, broadening horizons and instilling confidence in the future of the railway (or rail industry).
Knowledge sharing and team spirit are the foundations for the success of this initiative.
