Go back in time on this journey along Portugal's only narrow gauge railway in operation on one of the five carriages from the early years of the 20th century, hauled by the historic 9004 diesel locomotive.
The Vouga Historical Train will take you from Aveiro to Macinhata do Vouga, where you can visit the Macinhata do Vouga Railway Museum and visit the various initiatives related to the Christmas season in Águeda on the way back, including the World's Largest and Smallest Father Christmas: the first is around 21 metres high and illuminated with more than 250,000 LEDs and the second is a nano-structure by the artist Willard Wigan, which can only be seen through a microscope!
