Douro Line - replacement bus services

Train services suspended between Marco de Canaveses and Régua from 3 November 2025.

Due to modernisation works on the Douro Line, overseen by Infraestruturas de Portugal, for a period of five months, the CP service will be provided by direct buses between Caíde and Régua and buses stopping at all stations between Marco de Canaveses and Régua.

On the replacement bus service, journey times may vary depending on weather and traffic conditions.

The transport of bicycles, scooters, and wheelchairs is not permitted.
The transport of small domestic animals is permitted if the animal is contained in an appropriate carrier that can be carried as hand luggage.

Group tickets are not accepted on the replacement bus service.
