Miradouro
A unique trip along the River Douro, between Porto, Régua, Pinhão and Pocinho.
The Miradouro, made up of a CP 1400 series diesel locomotive and Schindler and Sorefame carriages, runs daily in both directions from Porto São Bento, to Régua, Pinhão and Pocinho.
The Schindler carriages, produced at the end of the 1940s by the Swiss manufacturer Schindler Wagons SA, with their panoramic windows that can be opened during the journey, offer fantastic views of the UNESCO World Heritage landscape.
The carriages have ample space, toilets and places to carry bicycles The windows of the carriages built by the former Sorefame in the early 1970s also open. There are toilets and part of the fleet (2nd class carriages) has been prepared to carry bicycles. After several years of inactivity, these carriages and the Schindler carriages were recovered as part of CP's rolling stock recovery plan and put back into circulation.

Suggested outings
- Sabor Ecotrail
This 34-kilometre-long walking and cycle route runs along the old Sabor Line, in the section between the north bank of the River Douro, at Pocinho and Carviçais. It has public lighting on the urban sections (Moncorvo, Larinho, Carvalhal and Carviçais) and is equipped with signs and street furniture.
The rehabilitation of the built heritage has converted it into support and shelter infrastructures. Between Torre de Moncorvo and Carviçais, the views over the Baixo Sabor Valley and the Serra do Reboredo stand out, while the stretch from Torre de Moncorvo to Pocinho offers a glimpse of the Douro Valley.
Its points of interest are the Douro International Natural Park to the east, the Lower Sabor Valley (Sabor Lakes) to the north, the Upper Douro Valley (Alto Douro Wine Region, a World Heritage Site) to the west and the Côa Valley (rock engravings) to the south.
See the ecotrail map here.
