I lost something on a train or in a station. What can I do?
Items found by CP employees or handed in are kept for thirty days, during which time they can be searched for at any ticket office, where collection information and instructions on how to pick them up can be provided. After this period, all objects, depending on their nature and state of repair, will be disposed of, donated to charitable organisations or needy families, or handed over to the PSP or GNR (the list can be consulted at perdidoseachados.mai.gov.pt or at the nearest police station).
If you have lost something on our premises, you should go to a Customer Assistance Office, a ticket office or call the Customer Care Line for information on where the lost item may be.
Any lost details or information on its location can only be handed over once it has been unequivocally proven that it belongs to you, through a detailed description of the lost and found object by the person making the claim.
