CP supports AMI

AMI - International Medical Assistance Foundation praised the effort and solidarity of everyone who contributed food and hygiene items to support the AMI Christmas Mission, as part of the joint campaign organised by CP - Comboios de Portugal, through Social Responsibility, and IP - Infraestruturas de Portugal.

In total, 622 goods were collected, almost all of them food and some hygiene items, totalling over €1,000. Thanks to the spirit of solidarity among CP employees, more than half of these products - 16 boxes - were collected by our company.

At the handover, which took place at the Porta Amiga Centre in Olaias, several people representing CP were present to help sort and count the donated goods.

The AMI Foundation thanked them for their commitment. "What counts is the common and spectacular effort that will help the Olaias Porta Amiga Centre to make food baskets in the coming weeks," said the institution, explaining that 15 bags made from T-shirts were also delivered and will serve as baskets for the delivery of the goods collected. "A big congratulations to all the employees who took part and to IP and CP who encouraged the solidarity appeal," said AMI.

It's worth remembering that the campaign ran from 28 November 2023 to 5 January 2024, and that CP employees were able to support this cause by handing in their donations in boxes placed at our company's various facilities."
