Train operator CP - Comboios de Portugal and infrastructure manager IP - Infraestruturas de Portugal have teamed up this year to support the AMI Christmas Mission, one of the causes included in Giving Tuesday, by jointly collecting food from their employees. The aim is to create food baskets with the donated products to be delivered to more than 1900 beneficiary families of AMI - the International Medical Assistance Foundation.
This year, AMI is collecting the following food items: olive oil, jams, honey, sugar, flour, milk, packaged chorizo, tinned food (chickpeas and tuna), nuts, biscuits, toast and chocolate.
CP employees are asked to contribute to this solidarity campaign until 5 January 2024.
AMI is a Portuguese Non-Governmental Organisationthat aims to create a more sustainable, more harmonious, more inclusive, more tolerant, less indifferent and less violent world. The families assisted by this organisation in Portugal are in a situation of poverty and social exclusion.
