European photography contest for best images

Trains connect places and people, so they have always been a fascinating and inspiring subject for artists. The CER - Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies is running a Europe-wide photo competition - the Aline Bastin Photography Contest.

This initiative, which is in its 8th edition, aims to stimulate creativity and disseminate a sustainable and safe image of railways in Europe, showing them as an integral part of a cleaner, smarter and more interconnected transport system.

As 2023 is the European Year of Skills, the CER photo competition focuses on "Showcasing the skills of European railway photographers".

Open to all amateur and professional photographers residing in the 27 EU member states. The Aline Bastin Photo Contest will award twelve photos. The winners will receive a prize of €200 (each).
