CP holds UIC meetings in Lisbon

CP organised the 38th European Regional Assembly and the 104th General Assembly of the UIC (International Union of Railways) which were held in Lisbon on 2 and 3 July.

The event brought together leaders and representatives of the main railway companies from around the world and was attended on 3 July by Pedro Duarte Silva, Chief of Staff of the Secretary of State for Mobility, on her behalf.

The meetings provided a privileged opportunity to discuss the main issues on the European and global agenda, as well as the latest innovations and challenges facing the railway sector internationally, promoting knowledge sharing and international collaboration.

This meeting reinforces the importance of international cooperation in the development of the rail sector and underlines the fundamental role of this sector in a global scenario and in the pursuit of global decarbonisation objectives.
