CP offers Alfa passengers roast chestnuts on St Martin's day

This premium service connects the north and south of the country

CP - Comboios de Portugal's Alfa Pendular service is synonymous with comfort, speed and sustainability. Every day, thousands of pasengers choose this train to travel for work or leisure.

To recognise these passengers' loyalty and trust in its premium service, CP will offer Alfa Pendular passengers roasted chestnuts on Saint Martin's Day, 11 November.

Anyone travelling on the AP 122, which departs at 11.32 a.m. from Porto-Campanhã, or the AP 135, which leaves at 4 p.m. from Lisbon-Santa Apolónia, will have a chestnut roaster on their platform, with a traditional trolley, roasting chestnuts on the spot. Each customer boarding these trains will be given a cartridge of ‘tasty, hot’ chestnuts, which promise to make the journey even more appealing.

The Alfa Pendular train, which this year celebrates 25 years of service has carried millions of passengers. It is composed of six electric active tilting coaches offering a total of 301 seats, capable of travelling at up to 220 km/h.

This service offers two classes, Comfort and Tourist, free Wi-Fi, electric sockets at all seats, baby changing facilities, toilets, luggage racks, reserved seats adapted for people with reduced mobility and an on-board cafeteria and bar service (in carriage no. 3).

Passengers are guarateed safe transport that is an ecological alternative that contributing to the planet's environmental sustainability.

Faced with growing demand, CP renews its commitment to continue investing in this premium service, making customers' journeys even more comfortable and efficient.
