Presidential train starts second season with a unique experience

The Presidential train has started its second season in 2024, providing a unique experience for its passengers, who had the opportunity to visit the São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum and take part in tastings of excellent wines, in an atmosphere that brought together culture, history and high-quality gastronomy.

The next trip, scheduled for 28 September, will have an even more exclusive experience, with a visit to the historic Quinta de Vale Meão. Passengers will be able to visit this emblematic estate, which belonged to Antónia Adelaide Ferreira and which, to this day, maintains the tradition and prestige of producing Barca Velha wine.

The gastronomic experience on board the Presidential train will once again be led by Chef Chakall, who has invited Chef Fernando Gomes, from Calça Curta Restaurant, to prepare the main course, promising a journey of flavours that will remain in the memory of the participants forever.

The Presidential train is a unique experience that combines the best of the Douro's culture, history and gastronomy. The train can carry just 72 passengers so this exclusive journey is characterised by refinement.
