Improved rail mobility.
Creation of a real-time information platform that offers accurate and continuous consultation of train movements throughout CP's network.
This information can be accessed via the CP.PT website (homepage) and on the CP App, via the ‘Next Trains’ section. Passengers can immediately check the status of each service and receive alerts about delays of more than five minutes on long-haul and medium-haul services (Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, International, Regional, and InterRegional) and three minutes on urban services. The feature also indicates the platform for the train. However, CP recommends that passengers confirm the platform upon arrival at the station using the station's audible and visual devices, as unforeseen changes can occur for reasons beyond CP's direct control.
This technological solution is the result of integrated work between various CP teams who were instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of the data and the robust operation of the platform. Developing this platform in-house reflects CP's commitment to leveraging the expertise of its professionals to enhance operations and respond directly to the needs of its passengers.
