When you buy the ticket, simply give the date and train of your return journey. The discount is applied immediately for journeys over 91 kilometres.

Trains with compulsory seat reservation:

Alfa Pendular and Intercidades. You can also benefit from the return discount by using the Alfa Pendular on the outward journey and the Intercidades on the return journey, or vice versa;
Celta train.

On the Celta train, the return discount is 20% and applies on all journeys, regardless of the number of kilometres.

No. Discounts are not cumulative. If you already benefit from the Senior, Youth, Child or other discount, you cannot benefit from the return trip discount.
