Can I take my bike on the train?
Your bicycle can travel free of charge on all days and times. However, the following transport conditions must be respected:
- You may only carry one bicycle.
- CP is not responsible for any damage caused to bicycles and/or third parties during transport.
- • You are responsible for getting the bicycles on and off the train.
- Bicycles must be transported in such a way that they do not obstruct the doors and do not hinder the entry and exit of other passengers.
- Bicycles may not be ridden in stations, atriums or subways.
- Transport is authorised exclusively in the carriages identified for this purpose.
The transport of electric bicycles (with a maximum continuous power of 0.25 kW) is also permitted, provided that, in terms of size and space occupied (excluding the battery), they resemble a traditional bicycle.
The ticket inspector may refuse transport whenever, given the train's capacity, it is not advisable, as it could cause material or personal damage or disrupt the smooth operation of the service.
On the Alfa Pendular, bicycles and scooters can be transported as long as they are disassembled and properly packed as luggage that does not exceed, in the luggage racks or under the seats, the space corresponding to the seats to which they are entitled, up to a maximum of one per passenger.
