You can use this discount in any class, any day of the week. Just show official ID with proof of your age, such as a Citizen card, ID card, driving licence or passport.

To travel free of charge and secure age-related discounts, passengers must always present the original document at the ticket office and during transit.

You must prove that the ticket is yours and that you are entitled to the discount by presenting an official ID document or a certified photocopy of it.

Authorities accept scans, photographs, or simple photocopies only when they are duly authenticated by Parish Councils, CTT - Correios de Portugal, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Lawyers, or solicitors.

We accept documents presented on the id.gov.pt app as official. For verification purposes, passengers must provide CP employees with access to the device and ensure that the necessary electronic means are available on-site, specifically that the device has internet access.

These tickets can be exchanged or refunded.

This discount cannot be used along with any other special rates. Alfa pendular and Intercidades prices rounded up to the next 50 cents.

Young people aged 26 or over can still enjoy the Cartão Jovem discount for individual journeys.

If you are between 13 and 25 years old (inclusive), you can also enjoy the 25% discount in the Lusitânia Comboio Hotel, Sud Expresso and Celta international services.
