Acquisition of 10 Electric Multiple Units

The Modernisation of CP's Regional Services.

The project consists of the acquisition of 10 Stadler electric multiple units, which will join the 2700 series to modernise the regional service on the Tomar Branch Line and the Alentejo Line, under the Climate Action and Sustainability Programme (PACS).

The trains will have a normal load capacity of 369 passengers (204 seated and 165 standing) and a maximum capacity of 520 passengers in overload (204 seated and 316 standing).
