Cascais Line - Replacement bus service

Rreplacement bus service

Due to engineering works by IP, Infraestruturas de Portugal, the route between Cascais and Oeiras has been operated by a replacement bus service, with stops at Monte Estoril, Estoril, S. João do Estoril, S. Pedro do Estoril, Parede and Carcavelos stations.

Bus Stops

A valid ticket must be presented when boarding the replacement buses.

Validate your ticket at the ticket validators located at the entrances to the replacement buses. All passes, season tickets, and tickets must be validated.

The journey times for the replacement bus service may vary depending on traffic conditions.

CP buses are identified and equipped with access ramps for people with reduced mobility.

The replacement bus service cannot carry wheelchairs, bicycles or scooters. Small pets can be taken if the animal is in an appropriate container that can be carried as hand luggage.

As part of the modernisation of the Cascais Line, works will be carried out on the São Pedro do Estoril pier on Sunday 8 February.


Schedule changes:
 
During this period, there will be two sets of trains running alternately from:

  • Cais do Sodré/S. Pedro do Estoril/Cais do Sodré;
  • Cais do Sodré/Cascais/Cais do Sodré.

 
Passengers travelling to São João do Estoril, Estoril, Monte Estoril and Cascais stations are advised to use trains bound for Cascais to avoid having to change trains at São Pedro do Estoril.
 
During the works, the Oeiras «» Cascais closure will also remain in place, with a replacement bus service.

Platform changes:

In addition to these schedule changes, there will be changes to the platforms at São Pedro do Estoril, São João do Estoril, Estoril and Monte Estoril stations.
 
São Pedro do Estoril station

  • Access to trains towards Cascais via platform 1 - sea side
  • Access to trains towards Cais do Sodré via platform 3 - central

São João do Estoril, Estoril and Monte Estoril stations

  • Access to trains only via platform 1 - sea side.
