Rechargeable Navegante card for occasional use

• The Navegante occasional card is the support for tickets and zapping; 
• It is valid for a single holder for each journey; 
• You can top up zapping or journeys for use on CP, at ticket offices or vending machines you just need to validate the card at the validators or access channels before each journey; 
• This card allows you to top up only one type of ticket at a time, and you can't top up a new ticket until the previous one has been used up. So if, for example, you have loaded a ticket for 10 Metro journeys, you cannot simultaneously load a CP ticket until the Metro journeys have been used; 
• Validation of any ticket is compulsory before boarding, at the validators in the stations or at the access gates; 
• Once a ticket or zapping has been validated and loaded onto the Navegante occasional card, no other operations must be carried out with the card during the period of validity of the journey, including the purchase of new tickets, as these may invalidate the validation previously carried out; 
• Passengers must keep the top-up slip until the end of the validity period of the ticket purchased; 
• Passengers must purchase a ticket for journeys on the Sintra, Cascais, Azambuja and Sado lines from the ticket offices or vending machines before boarding. 

Don't throw away the occasional Navegante card. 

• The card is rechargeable. Keep it for later journeys; 
• The card is valid for 1 year. 

The occasional Navegante rechargeable card costs €0.50, which is added to the price of the first ticket.

Note: In the final 30 minutes, you can only leave the stations. 

For customers travelling from stations on the Sintra/Azambuja and Cascais lines to stations on the Sado line and vice versa, the validity period is increased by 1 hour, except for excess journey and zapping tickets. 

When travelling from the north bank to the south bank and vice versa, whenever possible, at stations without access channels, we recommend validating your ticket again to account for the extra hour of the journey. 

For excess journeys, the time starts counting from the moment of purchase, as it does not require validation. 

For 1 year after the sale, we will exchange the faulty card for a new one, provided that: 

• you can prove that you purchased the card from CP by presenting the original invoice/receipt; 
• the faulty card is in good condition.
