Santo António of Lisbon

There will be more trains for the processions and celebrations in Lisbon in honour of its patron saint on the night of 12–13 June.

In June, Lisbon is filled with colour, smells and entertainment in the streets and alleys of its most typical neighbourhoods. The festival's highlight is the night of Santo António, which celebrates the matchmaker saint from 12 to 13 June, with the usual Marchas Populares parades on Avenida da Liberdade.

After the festivities, return home on the special Sintra/Azambuja and Cascais line trains.

Use Rossio, Cais do Sodré and Lisbon Santa Apolónia stations to reach the festival venues. Buy a return ticket to avoid queues and hassle.

You must always validate your ticket before boarding.

In addition to the regular service of trains with extra capacity bound for Rossio, from 7.00 pm on 12 June, the following special trains will run in the early hours of 13 June, stopping at all stations:

Lisbon Rossio > Sintra: 01:30, 02:00, 02:30, 03:00, 03:30, 04:00, 04:30, 05:00 and 05:30.

Cais do Sodré > Cascais: 02:30, 03:30 and 04:30

Lisbon Santa Apolónia > Azambuja: 01:30 and 03:30

If you're travelling in a group, take advantage of the €3 per person tickets for groups of at least 15 paying members.
