CP - Comboios de Portugal launches real-tine information on its 168th anniversary

The day it celebrated its 168th anniversary, CP - Comboios de Portugal also announced the launch of a new Real-Time Information feature. This innovative platform was developed by the company's employees and represents a significant advance in the railway mobility experience.

The "Real-Time Information ’ feature offers accurate, continuous status of train movements throughout CP's network, from the Alfa Pendular to the Urban Trains. Passengers can now follow updates on timetables, delays and platform information directly on the CP.PT website (homepage) and on the CP APP.

Functions and Benefits

• The ‘Next Trains’ section lets passengers check the status of each service with alerts about delays of more than five minutes on long and medium-haul services (Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, International, Regional and InterRegional) and three minutes on urban services.
• The feature also shows th platform for each train. However, CP recommends that,passengers confirm the platfom on the station's audible and visual devices, as unforeseen changes can occur for reasons beyond CP's direct management.

Developed entirely by CP

This technological solution is the result of integrated work between various CP teams, especially the Information Systems, Commercial and Operations teams, which ensure the accuracy of the data and the robust operation of the platform. Developing this platform internally reflects CP's commitment to applying the experience of its professionals to improve operations and respond directly to its passengers' needs.
