Grape harvest festival by train

• One-day programme, with a special train journey, with 1st and 2nd class Corail carriages, on the Porto Campanhã/Pinhão and Régua/Porto Campanhã route, departing at 8.00 am and returning at 8.29 pm.
• On arrival at Pinhão train station and after a bus transfer to Quinta da Avessada, visitors will be welcomed with music and a tasting of some of the region's delicacies, such as traditional bread and meatballs.
• The harvest will then begin, where buckets, scissors and straw hats will be provided, and the grape varieties, the history of the region and some traditions related to the harvest will be explained.
• This is followed by a regional lunch consisting of starters (codfish pataniscas, various sausages and Favaios bread), a main course (farmer's soup and veal steak stewed in red wine) and desserts (regional sweets and seasonal fruit). Drinks are included (water, orange juice, DOC wine, coffee and digestive brandy).
• In the afternoon, a visit to the mills and the start of the wine press, followed by a commented tasting of liqueur wines in the Enoteca.
• At the end of the day, return by coach to Régua Station, where the special train to Porto Campanhã will depart.
   

Note: this special train has a bar service in its own carriage and stops for passengers to board/disembark at the following stations: Rio Tinto, Ermesinde, Paredes, Penafiel, Caíde and Mosteirô.

Porto Campanhã car park , located on the underground level ofstation- customers of the Grape harvest festival benefit from the subsidised rate. Discount not applicable to Porto Campanhã Station Intermodal Terminal car park.

• Tickets for this train are only valid for the day and route for which they were issued, to Pinhão and back from Régua;
• Tickets for the Douro Harvest Festival cannot be exchanged or refunded;
• If journeys are cancelled on CP's initiative, customers will receive a full refund.
