Green Rail Pass
The Pass with the most benefits that allows you to travel by train throughout the country.
The Green Rail Pass is valid on CP for Portuguese and foreigners residents in Portugal and can be purchased on any day of the month and is valid for 30 consecutive days. It costs €20 a month. This pass is loaded onto the CP Card for the desired period of validity (30, 60 or 90 days). Its validity corresponds to the type purchased and for a specific period, so a Pass holder who has not loaded it or whose validity has expired will not be able to travel and will be considered a Passenger without a ticket and subject to a fine.
Urban trains may not be used on the sections covered by the Andante and Navegante intermodal passes.

You can travel on any route on the following trains:
- Intercidades (only in 2nd class and subject to advance seat reservation, which is compulsory and free of charge)
- Regional trains
- Interregional trains
- Coimbra urban trains
- Lisbon Urban Trains (on journeys not covered by an intermodal metropolitan pass):
- Carregado/Azambuja
- Porto Urban Trains (on routes not covered by a metropolitan intermodal pass):
- Vila das Aves/Guimarães
- Paredes/Marco de Canaveses
- Paramos/Aveiro
- Lousado/ Braga
- When using the Porto Urban Trains, you must present the corresponding proof of purchase to the ticket inspector during transit.
This Pass lets you travel in 2nd class if you book your seat in advance.
Seat reservations must be made within 24 hours of the train starting its journey, even if this is not your boarding station, at the online ticket office, the CP App, ticket machines at stations in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
Seat reservations are free of charge and must correspond to the route you actually intend to take. The journey must be made within the Pass's period of validity.
Seat reservations can be made for two separate journeys per day.
If you do not make a reservation for the Intercidades train, you will be considered a customer without a ticket and will be subject to a fine.
- Green Rail Pass - 30 days - €20.00;
- Green Rail Pass - 60 days - €40.00;
- Green Rail Pass - 90 days - €60.00.
No other discounts apply.
This pass is loaded onto a CP Card and can be done at CP App, CP ticket offices and at the new Automatic Vending Machines installed at stations in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.
If you already have a CP Card, you can use it for this pass.
If you don't have a CP Card, you must apply for one at a ticket office.

This pass cannot be exchanged or refunded.
If a train is cancelled or if you want to request a reimbursement and compensation for delays for reasons attributable to CP, please consult the conditions in force (in Portuguese) for CP passes.
Seat reservation for the Intercidades service:
A seat reservation cannot be changed to another day/time, but it can be cancelled.
It must be cancelled up to 15 minutes before the train stars its journey, so that the seat can be made available to other customers, and will not be counted towards your two available reservations per day.
