Providing passenger rail transport services. This also includes the manufacturing, rehabilitation, major repair, and maintenance of railway equipment and vehicles, as well as the study of workshop facilities for maintenance. Workshop functions are performed not only on CP’s own rolling stock but also on that of other Transport Operators.
Providing technical and professional training and development, preparing studies and projects related to the creation, organization, and management of companies, offering services in applied psychology and medical and psychological assessment, higher education teaching, and scientific research in the context of transport, communications, or technological areas related to these fields.
Providing services in the field of insurance mediation as an insurance agent in both LIFE and NON-LIFE branches. SAROS activities focus on managing the insurance portfolio of CP Group companies.
Providing healthcare services, education, training, and technical/professional development in the areas of working conditions, health, and the environment. Carrying out services in the fields of recruitment, selection, and personnel assessment, as well as technical assistance, consulting, and auditing, particularly regarding occupational health, hygiene and safety, environmental management, and sustainability. Conducting drug and alcohol control actions, ensuring referral for treatment of these dependencies.
Maintenance of LE 5600 and LE 4700 locomotives.
A non-profit association, established in 2021, aimed at positioning Portugal as a reference in the railway industry, developing technologies and new products, enhancing human capital and the national industrial fabric, and accelerating ideas, projects, and companies with internationalization potential.
Activity in the fields of engineering, innovation, and technology applied to the transport sector, including the manufacturing, repair, and maintenance of electronic components, as well as the development of IT solutions.
Responsible for implementing and managing a unified ticketing system exclusive to the grouped entities (CP, STCP, and Metro do Porto) in the Greater Porto area, as well as defining a common and exclusive intermodal fare structure for public passenger transport operated directly or indirectly by the grouped entities.
