Management Systems

In line with its Mission and Vision, and aware of its corporate and social responsibility, CP strives to meet the expectations of customers, employees, and partners through a culture of innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

Integration with other management systems at CP — namely safety, risk, asset, innovation, maintenance, and social responsibility — is facilitated by the high-level structure of management system standards.

Thus, by ensuring its commitment to best practices and international standards, CP is certified in several of the following areas:

CP was the first European railway company of national scope to obtain Quality Management System certification covering its relevant processes, in accordance with the NP ISO 9001 standard.

The Urban, Regional, and Long-Distance Passenger Rail Transport Service has been certified since 2008.

The Provision of Services for the Repair, Maintenance, Rehabilitation, Modernization, Design, Manufacture, Modification, and Track Operations of Railway Rolling Stock, as well as the Reconditioning of its components and equipment, has been certified since 1999.

Since 2013, the CP Group has held the Entity in Charge of Maintenance (ECM) certificate (in the four functions of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779) for the maintenance and repair of conventional freight wagons, including those for the transport of dangerous goods, and since 2022 for the maintenance and repair of traction units, multiple units, and passenger rolling stock.

The CP Testing and Metrology Laboratory has been accredited since 2008 under the NP EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard to carry out calibrations in the fields of dimensional measurement, electricity, torque, and pressure, ensuring rigorous standards for both internal and external calibration services.

In accordance with NP EN ISO 14001, legislation, European commitments, and applicable environmental regulations, CP aims to increase energy efficiency, improve resource management, and ensure the proper disposal of waste produced.

In line with the NP ISO 45001 standard, CP seeks to ensure safety by preventing and identifying risks associated with its activities and by correcting situations that may compromise the preservation of the company’s, its partners’, and its customers’ assets.

Relying on the NP 4457:2021 standard, CP works to foster a favorable climate for an innovation culture, encouraging employees to develop projects and to systematize and share knowledge in order to strengthen the company’s competitiveness.

Based on the ISO 55001 standard, CP ensures a systemic and comprehensive approach to the asset life cycle, adding value and creating synergies across processes.
CP aims to ensure efficient, secure, and accessible information management, as set out in NP 30301.

CP has been certified under the NP 4427 standard since 2022.
